Aesthetics of Boredom

With a background in cultural sociology and management, Kamilla is an urban researcher particularly interested in urban aesthetics and everydayness. Her work consist of research, project planning and management, writing, and photography. Preservation and inclusive planning is the angle she approaches sustainability in city planning, based on researching case studies in Baltic and Nordic countries.

Currently working on MA in Urban Studies and Planning in the University of Helsinki with final thesis project “Aesthetics of Boredom: preservation of post-soviet neighbourhoods. Case study of Lauma micro-district in Liepaja, Latvia”
